Our Commitment to Accuracy

Erick Prometeo Media is committed to factual accuracy in all published content. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently. We believe accountability is fundamental to editorial credibility.

We do not quietly alter published articles. When a meaningful change is made after publication, we disclose it.

How to Report an Error

If you believe an article contains a factual error, please contact us with the following information:

• Article title or URL — so we can locate the content quickly.
• Description of the error — what you believe is incorrect.
• Supporting evidence — a source or reference that demonstrates the error, if available.

We review all correction requests. Not every report results in a change — but every report is read and considered.

How We Review Reports

When a correction request is received, the editorial team follows this process:

• Verification: We check the claim against original sources and available evidence.
• Assessment: We determine whether the reported issue constitutes a factual error, a matter of interpretation, or an editorial judgment.
• Action: If a factual error is confirmed, we apply the appropriate correction and update the article.

We aim to resolve correction requests as quickly as possible. Response time depends on the complexity of the issue and the availability of sources.

Types of Changes

We distinguish between three types of post-publication changes:

• Correction: A factual error has been identified and fixed. The article includes a note indicating what was corrected and when. Examples include incorrect names, dates, figures, or misattributed statements.
• Update: New information has become available since the article was originally published. The article is updated to reflect the latest developments, with a note indicating the update.
• Clarification: The original text was not factually wrong, but the wording was ambiguous or could be misinterpreted. The article is revised for clarity, with a note if the change is substantive.

How Changes Are Documented

For significant corrections and updates, we add a visible note at the end of the affected article. This note includes:

• The date of the correction or update.
• A brief description of what was changed.

Minor fixes — such as typos, formatting adjustments, or broken links — are made without a formal correction notice, as they do not affect the substance of the reporting.

Article Retraction

In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate or based on unreliable information, we may retract it. A retracted article is replaced with a notice explaining the reason for retraction. We do not silently delete published content.
